**RAMANATHAPURAM, March 31, 2025** – The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) successfully intercepted a significant smuggling operation off the coast of Ramanathapuram district on Sunday. Acting on intelligence reports, the ICG Mandapam unit deployed an Air Cushion Vehicle (ACV) H-197 to the South Uchipuli seashore near Rameswaram. The operation resulted in the seizure of five drums containing approximately 200 kg of sea cucumbers, with an estimated market value of ₹80 lakh. The contraband was confiscated, and further investigations are underway.
