**Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, March 31, 2025** – The residents of Kurnool district joyfully celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr on Monday, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. For 30 days, Muslims in the district observed Roza (fasting) and offered daily prayers. On Sunday evening, they broke their fasts during Iftar, and the sighting of the new moon heralded the beginning of the Eid celebrations.
Traditional Eid prayers were held in various Eidgahs (prayer grounds) across the district, including Nandyal, Adoni, Emmiganur, Don, Pattikonda, Nandikotkur, Atmakur, and Banaganapalle. Preparations for the prayers involved cleaning the Eidgahs and providing facilities like shamianas (temporary shelters) and clean drinking water. The festive atmosphere was palpable as the community came together to celebrate the culmination of their spiritual journey during Ramadan.
