**Karimnagar, Telangana, March 31, 2025** – Muslims in Karimnagar celebrated Eid al-Fitr on Monday, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. The sighting of the new moon on Sunday evening confirmed the end of the month-long fast, prompting widespread celebrations and exchange of greetings among the community.
The city witnessed a festive atmosphere in the days leading up to Eid, with markets bustling with shoppers purchasing new clothes, sweets, and other celebratory items. While merchants reported brisk business, shoppers expressed concerns over rising prices. Men purchased clothing, caps, perfumes, and prayer mats, while women shopped for clothes, jewelry, and beauty supplies. Demand for home decor items also increased.
Preparations for Eid prayers were completed at various Eidgahs across the city and its outskirts.
