**NOIDA, INDIA –** A teacher at Green Ribbon International School in Noida Sector 55 has been arrested following the surfacing of a video depicting the violent assault of a 10-year-old special needs student. The parents of the victim filed a First Information Report (FIR) on Saturday, alleging that teacher Anil Kumar repeatedly struck their son after he struggled with a classroom exercise.
The video, circulated on a school WhatsApp group, shows Kumar losing his temper and physically abusing the child. The footage depicts the teacher shouting at the boy, hitting him on the hand, and violently shaking him. The parents stated in the FIR that the assault was “grossly inhuman treatment” and constituted a crime against humanity. They emphasized their son’s special needs and the school’s assurances of a safe and supportive learning environment.
The FIR also names the school principal and vice-principal, alleging their knowledge of prior similar incidents. The principal reportedly promised the teacher’s suspension. Police have launched an investigation and Kumar is currently under arrest. The incident has sparked outrage and raised concerns about the safety and well-being of special needs children in schools.
