Sat Mar 29 18:49:06 UTC 2025: ## Family of Deceased ADM Demands Further Investigation After Chargesheet Filed

**Pathanamthitta, March 30, 2025** – The family of Naveen Babu, the former Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Kannur who was found dead last October, has expressed deep dissatisfaction with the Special Investigation Team’s (SIT) chargesheet in the case. While the SIT has filed its report, Babu’s wife, Manjusha, claims the investigation inadequately addressed the suspected conspiracy surrounding his death.

The family alleges the investigation focused solely on former Kannur district panchayat president P.P. Divya, neglecting potential involvement of other individuals. They contend that the SIT’s findings mirror the initial police probe, which they previously deemed insufficient.

Manjusha stated that despite their repeated pleas to include T.V. Prashanth – allegedly involved in a bribe attempt for a petrol pump license – as an accused, the police concluded there was no evidence of foul play.

Unconvinced by the SIT’s report, the family intends to pursue legal action, seeking a new investigation by a different agency and appealing to the Supreme Court. They maintain their belief that a wider conspiracy led to Babu’s death.
