**Bangkok/New Delhi, March 29, 2025** – Indian tourists returning to New Delhi from Bangkok recounted harrowing experiences following a 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar on March 28th. The quake caused widespread panic across Southeast Asia, affecting Myanmar, Thailand, China, and Vietnam.
Tourists described scenes of chaos and panic as buildings shook violently. Bharati Khurana detailed difficulties in securing transportation to the airport due to emergency closures, while Pranav recounted fleeing a 24th-floor hotel as it trembled.
