Chasing a challenging 164, du Plessis laid the foundation with a blistering half-century, showcasing his explosive batting prowess.
The South African veteran smashed 50 runs off just 26 balls, a knock studded with three fours and three sixes, propelling his side to a strong start. He formed a crucial 81-run partnership with Jake Fraser-McGurk, dominating the powerplay overs with a 32-run blitz off 18 balls. Du Plessis particularly targeted Pat Cummins, smashing a four and a six in the seventh over.
