**Nagpur, Maharashtra –** Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday offered tributes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at Deekshabhoomi in Nagpur, the site where the architect of the Indian Constitution embraced Buddhism in 1956. Following his visit to the memorials of RSS founder K.B. Hedgewar and M.S. Golwalkar, PM Modi paid homage at the stupa, where Ambedkar’s ashes are kept. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari were present.

In the visitors’ diary, PM Modi wrote that building a developed and inclusive India would be the true tribute to Babasaheb Ambedkar. He described Deekshabhoomi as a symbol of social justice and empowerment, highlighting the importance of Ambedkar’s principles of social harmony, equality, and justice. He expressed his belief that India will achieve new heights of progress during the “Amrit Kaal” by upholding Ambedkar’s values.

Dr. Rajendra Gavai, a representative of the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Smarak Samiti, stated that PM Modi emphasized the importance of respecting diverse ideologies while pursuing one’s own beliefs, a sentiment echoing the principles enshrined in the Indian Constitution. This was PM Modi’s second visit to Deekshabhoomi.
