Sun Mar 30 05:10:00 UTC 2025: **Nithin’s “Robin Hood” a Moderate Success, Sequel Planned with David Warner as Villain**
HYDERABAD, TELANGANA – Nithin’s latest film, “Robin Hood,” directed by Venky Kudumula, has received a mixed response at the box office. While considered a moderate success, the film generated significant buzz due to the presence of cricketer David Warner in a key role. Warner’s appearance, heavily promoted before the film’s release, led to high expectations. However, his screen time was limited to a brief cameo in the climax, leaving some fans disappointed.
The film’s climax revealed a sequel titled “Brotherhood of Robin Hood” is planned. This sequel promises a more substantial role for Warner, hinting at his portrayal as the main antagonist. Although “Robin Hood” lacked a face-to-face confrontation between Nithin and Warner, the sequel is expected to feature a compelling rivalry between the two.
While the film’s overall performance is considered average, critics praised Nithin’s performance and handsome appearance, along with Srileela’s energetic portrayal. Vennella Kishore’s role was also well-received. However, some criticism was leveled at G.V. Prakash Kumar’s background music, described as inconsistent in places. The cinematography by Sai Sriram was lauded, although some editing improvements were suggested.
The producers’ decision to pursue a sequel with David Warner as the primary villain remains to be seen.
