**Bengaluru, Karnataka:** The state of Karnataka is brimming with festive cheer as it celebrates Ugadi, the New Year’s Day according to the Hindu lunisolar calendar, today. Homes across the state woke to the sounds of families preparing for the day. Children and adults alike cleaned their homes, created vibrant rangolis, and performed special pujas. Temples buzzed with activity as devotees attended special prayers and rituals.
