**Hyderabad, March 29, 2025** – With Eid-ul-Fitr expected on Monday, the Telangana State Waqf Board (TGSWB) is ensuring smooth celebrations at major Idgahs in Hyderabad. Officials inspected the Mir Alam and Madannapet Idgahs on Saturday, overseeing preparations funded by a ₹19 lakh allocation.

While the Model Code of Conduct is in effect, preventing the Chairman and legislators from participating in the inspection, TGSWB CEO Mohammed Asadullah and other officials monitored ongoing work, including the installation of sun canopies, provision of prayer mats, and the whitewashing of the premises.

Collaborating agencies include the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) for water supply, the Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSPDCL) for transformers, and the GHMC for sanitation. A Board representative will liaise with the Qutb Shahi Tombs Idgah committee.

Meanwhile, the festive spirit is already palpable across the city, with residents stocking up on ingredients for traditional dishes, tailors working overtime, and ready-made garment showrooms experiencing a surge in customers.
