**COIMBATORE, March 29, 2025** – The city of Coimbatore is gearing up for the Shawwal moon sighting event this Sunday, March 30th, marking the end of Ramadan 1446 Hijri. The event, crucial for determining the date of Eid-ul-Fitr, will be observed at several Sunnath Jamaath mosques across the district.
According to Haji M.I. Muhammad Ali, General Secretary of the Coimbatore District Jamaath, the main observation will take place at the Darul Qur’an Sunnath Jamaath Mosque in Rathinapuri, led by Jamaath president Haji A.R. Kaja Muhaiyadeen. Similar moon sighting events are planned at the Agricultural College Mosque, Quwwatul Islam Mosque in Peelamedu, and Munawara Mosque in Karumbukkadai.
