**Hyderabad, [Date]** – The Telangana government has launched the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme, offering financial assistance to unemployed youth belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Backward Classes (BC) communities. The scheme, which opened for applications on March 17th and extended the deadline to April 5th, aims to empower these individuals through self-employment opportunities.

The scheme provides loans of up to ₹4 lakh, with a substantial government subsidy. Loans up to ₹2 lakh receive an 80% subsidy, while loans up to ₹4 lakh receive a 70% subsidy. The funds can be used for various self-employment ventures, including agriculture-related activities (e.g., oil engine pump sets, cotton harvesting machines), livestock rearing (e.g., dairy farming, poultry), and small businesses (e.g., auto repair shops, beauty parlors, general stores).
