RAJAMAHENDRAVARAM, Andhra Pradesh – The death of 45-year-old Hyderabad pastor Pagadala Praveen Kumar is under investigation following the discovery of multiple injuries on his face and hands, police announced Saturday. A preliminary post-mortem report confirmed the injuries, prompting further forensic analysis to determine the cause of death.
Pastor Kumar died on March 24th after a two-wheeler accident near Rajamahendravaram. While initially the death appeared accidental, the suspicious nature of the injuries led to a full investigation. Inspector-General of Police (Eluru Range) G.V.G. Ashok Kumar stated that the preliminary report has been sent for pathological investigation. The family, interviewed in Hyderabad, has not yet implicated anyone in the pastor’s death.
Superintendent of Police D. Narasimha Kishore revealed that Kumar was travelling to Rajamahendravaram to discuss a proposed missionary building on land recently purchased in his daughter’s name. The police are awaiting a final report from the Motor Vehicle Inspector regarding the accident. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has been briefed on the ongoing investigation. The final forensic and post-mortem reports are pending.
