TIRUPATI, March 29, 2025 – The annual Brahmotsavam festival at the Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple in Tirupati concluded its third day on Saturday with a majestic procession featuring the processional idol of Lord Kodandarama. The idol was carried on a lion-shaped vehicle (“Simha Vahanam”) in the morning and a pearl-studded canopy (“Muthyapu Pandiri Vahanam”) in the evening. The procession was led by the senior and junior pontiffs of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

In related news, the TTD announced that Brahmotsavam celebrations will also be held at several local temples under its jurisdiction. The Sri Kodandarama temple in Chandragiri will host its festival from April 6th to 14th, with the inaugural “Ankurarpanam” ritual scheduled for April 5th. Similarly, the Sri Pattabhirama temple in Valmikipuram will hold its festivities from April 3rd to 11th, starting with “Ankurarpanam” on April 2nd. The Valmikipuram temple’s schedule includes significant events like “Dhwajarohanam” (April 3rd), “Hanumanta Vahanam” (April 4th), “Rathotsavam and Dhooli Utsavam” (April 9th), “Paruveta Utsavam” (April 10th), and “Vasanthotsavam,” “Chakra Snanam,” and “Dhwajavarohanam” (April 11th). A special “Sita Rama Kalyanam” event is planned for April 8th, with tickets costing ₹500 and open to married couples.
