Sat Mar 29 15:05:06 UTC 2025: ## GHMC Collects ₹103 Crore in LRS Fees Amidst Last-Minute Rush

**Hyderabad, March 29, 2025** – The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has collected ₹103.46 crore from 7,881 applicants under the Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS-2020) as of March 29th. This represents a fraction of the total 1,07,872 applications received. The corporation issued fee intimation letters to 59,564 applicants, offering a 25% rebate for payments made before the March 31st deadline.

GHMC officials report a significant surge in applicants in the past week, indicating a last-minute rush to benefit from the rebate. While no extension has been announced, the government has declared that LRS fees will be accepted on March 30th and 31st, despite these dates being public holidays. After March 31st, applicants will be required to pay the full fee without the rebate.

Statewide, 3,25,538 applicants have paid their fees by March 28th, out of a total of 25,67,107 applicants. Over 20 lakh applicants have received fee intimation letters. The government’s amendments to the LRS, offering the 25% rebate and the option to pay pro-rata open space charges during building permission application (without the rebate), were introduced over a month ago.
