Fri Mar 28 19:31:54 UTC 2025: ## Chennai Police Defuse Homemade Bombs Seized from History-Sheeter’s Home
**CHENNAI, March 29, 2025** – Chennai police safely defused four homemade bombs Thursday at the Kodungaiyur dump yard. The explosives were seized in January from the residence of “Bomb” Saravanan, a known history-sheeter with over 35 criminal cases against him, including murder, attempted murder, and kidnapping.
Saravanan, classified as an A+ category rowdy, was residing in Palavakkam, Tiruvallur district, after previously living in Kannigapuram, Pulianthope. He was taken into preventive custody on January 16th and is currently imprisoned in Puzhal prison.
Following a court order, MKB Nagar police and bomb squad experts carried out the controlled detonation at the dump yard under heavy security.
