Sat Mar 29 07:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Bihar Board Announces Class 10 Results; Triple Tie for Top Spot

**Patna, Bihar (March 29, 2025)** – The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) today announced the results for the Class 10 (Matric) annual examination, ending months of anticipation for over 15.85 lakh students. The results were declared at noon by Bihar’s Education Minister, Sunil Kumar, in a press conference at the BSEB headquarters.

This year saw an unprecedented three-way tie for the top position. Sakshi Kumari, Anshu Kumari, and Ranjan Verma each scored 489 out of 500, achieving a remarkable 97.80% marks. A full top 10 list, including both male and female students, was released by the board.

The overall pass percentage for the 2025 matriculation exam was 82.11%, slightly lower than the 82.91% recorded in 2024. The examinations were held from February 17th to 25th, 2025, across 1,677 centers across the state.

Students can access their results through the official websites, matricresult2025.com and matricbiharboard.com. NDTV also provided a dedicated results portal for students to check their scores using their roll number and other basic information.

The BSEB increased the prize money for top-performing students this year. The top rank-holders received ₹200,000, a laptop, and a Kindle e-reader, while the second and third rank-holders received ₹150,000 and ₹100,000 respectively, along with laptops and Kindle e-readers. Students from rank 4 to 10 received ₹30,000.

The board had released the answer keys on March 6th, and students were given until March 10th to raise any objections. The BSEB’s swift release of results, within a month of the completion of evaluation, continues its longstanding reputation for timely declaration of results, ahead of most other boards in the country. Last year’s results were announced on March 31st. The board also announced the Class 12 results earlier this month on March 25th.

With a large number of students accessing the results simultaneously, the BSEB advised students to use alternative links or SMS services if the websites experience high traffic or crashes.
