**Patna, March 29, 2025** – The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) declared the results for the Class 10 matriculation examination today, revealing an overall pass percentage of 82.11%. The results were announced at a joint press conference by Board Chairman Anand Kishor and Education Minister Sunil Kumar.
Approximately 12 lakh students out of the 15.58 lakh who appeared for the exam have passed. This year, Samastipur district has emerged as the top performer, surpassing Jamui, which traditionally held the top spot for producing the highest number of toppers. Remarkably, the state topper, Sakshi Kumari, also hails from Samastipur. The district accounts for 11 students in the top 10 list. Simul Tala Residential School in Jamui, previously known as a “topper factory,” saw a decline in the number of top-ranking students this year.
The announcement comes amidst ongoing political discussions surrounding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the RSS headquarters in Nagpur. His appearance alongside RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is seen as a significant step in strengthening the relationship between the BJP and the RSS.
