**Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu, March 28, 2025** – The Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) board examinations commenced across several districts in Tamil Nadu today, with thousands of students participating. In Ramanathapuram district, 16,823 students, including 8,076 boys, 8,326 girls, and 430 private candidates, sat for the language paper at 82 examination centers. Special arrangements were made for 136 differently-abled students.

Neighboring Sivaganga district saw 17,841 students take the exam, with 215 absences. A total of 18,506 students had registered for the exams in Sivaganga.

High participation was also reported in Dindigul and Theni districts. Dindigul recorded 25,122 students appearing for the exams, with 855 absences, while Theni had 14,245 students participating, and 215 absences. District officials in all four districts conducted inspections at various examination centers to ensure smooth conduct of the exams. The examinations are expected to continue over the coming days.
