**Bhadrachalam, Telangana –** The body of the second worker trapped in the rubble of a collapsed six-story building in Bhadrachalam was recovered early Friday morning, police confirmed. The building, under construction, caved in Wednesday afternoon, trapping two laborers.
A large-scale rescue operation involving the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Singareni Collieries, fire services, and police was immediately launched. While one worker, a 45-year-old, was rescued but later succumbed to his injuries in hospital on Thursday, the second worker’s body was recovered around 2 AM Friday.
Authorities have registered a case against the building owner for culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Investigations are ongoing into allegations that the building’s construction violated regulations.
