Fri Mar 28 02:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Partial Solar Eclipse on March 29th, 2025: Not Visible from India

**New Delhi, March 28, 2025** – A partial solar eclipse will occur on March 29th, 2025, but will unfortunately not be visible from India. This is the first solar eclipse of 2025, and follows a similar pattern to both solar eclipses of 2024, which were also not visible in India.

The eclipse, according to NASA, will begin at 4:50 AM EST (2:20 PM IST) and reach its maximum point at 6:47 AM EST (4:17 PM IST), ending at 8:43 AM EST. During the eclipse, the moon will pass between the sun and the earth, partially obscuring the sun. In some locations, up to 93% of the sun will be covered.

The partial solar eclipse will be visible in parts of Asia, Africa, Europe, the Atlantic Ocean, the Arctic, North America, and South America. While a spectacular celestial event, Indian sky-watchers will miss this particular astronomical phenomenon.
