**NEW DELHI, March 28, 2025** – The Rajya Sabha’s proceedings were disrupted on Friday following Samajwadi Party MP Ramji Lal Suman’s controversial remarks about 16th-century Rajput king Rana Sanga. Suman’s comments, since expunged from the record, sparked outrage, leading to protests and a temporary adjournment.
The BJP demanded an unqualified apology from Mr. Suman, while the Opposition walked out in protest after Karni Sena, a Rajput group, vandalized his Agra residence.
