CINCINNATI, OH – Reds utility player Max Muncy will be filling in for the injured Austin Hays (calf) against the San Francisco Giants today. Muncy is slated to start in left field and bat cleanup in the Reds’ lineup. While his long-term role is expected to primarily be at third base, Muncy will see regular playing time in left field against right-handed pitchers while Hays is sidelined. He’ll bat behind a potent top three of TJ Friedl, Matt McLain, and Elly De La Cruz.
