Fri Mar 28 12:51:43 UTC 2025: ## Over 300 Former Dunzo Employees Accuse Company of Unpaid Salaries

**Bengaluru, March 28, 2025** – Over 300 former employees of the e-commerce company Dunzo Digital have filed a complaint with the Karnataka Labour Department, alleging non-payment of salaries and delayed full and final settlements. The former employees, supported by the Karnataka App-Based Workers Union, met with Additional Labour Commissioner Dr. G. Manjunath to present their case.

The complainants claim that they were laid off in a series of rounds beginning in July 2023, with the company ultimately shedding 75% of its workforce by September 2024. They allege that despite repeated promises of settlement, including assurances made after signing a no-objection certificate (NOC) in June 2024, they have received no payments.

Former team manager Rangapuram Hemanth, laid off in July 2023, claims he is owed over ₹2.5 lakh, while Syed Mustaqheen, terminated without notice in 2023, is seeking ₹1.13 lakh. Both men report that communication with Dunzo’s HR department has been severed, with phone numbers blocked and emails ignored. They claim that the company cited cash flow issues as the reason for the delays.

The former employees state that despite multiple emails promising settlements and 12% annual interest, Dunzo has failed to meet its obligations. They allege that the company’s attempts to resolve the matter ended with a final communication in August 2024 citing further roadblocks in raising funds. The situation highlights the plight of workers following the company’s restructuring and cost-cutting measures. The Labour Department is now investigating the matter.
