**DALLAS, TX – March 28, 2025** – Sydney Garber, a high school senior and incoming freshman at Claremont McKenna College, has been awarded the Spring 2025 Community Impact Scholarship, a $2,500 award presented by Dallas personal injury attorney Jerry Andrews.
Garber, who maintains a 4.0 GPA and plays softball, founded “The Iron Butterfly,” an organization dedicated to improving mental health resources for female student-athletes. Her work through the organization, which utilizes a website, social media, blogs, and speaking engagements, impressed the scholarship committee.
The biannual Community Impact Scholarship, established in 2022, recognizes students who excel academically while demonstrating significant community involvement and leadership. Applicants must maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher and submit an essay on the benefits of community service.

This is the eighth scholarship awarded by Attorney Andrews, who is Board Certified in personal injury law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
