Fri Mar 28 16:11:41 UTC 2025: ## CPI(M) Protests ED’s Clean Chit in Kerala Money Heist Case
**KOCHI, KERALA –** The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) staged a protest march to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Kochi on Friday, condemning the agency’s alleged exoneration of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders in the 2021 Kodakara money heist case.
CPI(M) Politburo member A. Vijayaraghavan led the demonstration, accusing the ED of acting under the influence of the Sangh Parivar and failing to properly investigate the BJP’s alleged role in the heist. The party claims the ED’s findings contradict the state police’s report, which suggested the ₹3.36 crore stolen was hawala money intended for the BJP’s 2021 Assembly election campaign.
The protest is part of a larger CPI(M) campaign to highlight what it calls the BJP-led central government’s misuse of the ED for political purposes. Other prominent CPI(M) leaders, including C.N. Mohanan, S. Sarma, and Dinesh Mani, also participated in the march.
