Fri Mar 28 00:10:00 UTC 2025: ## ICAI Announces Three CA Final Exams Per Year Starting 2025

**New Delhi, March 28, 2025** – The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced a significant change to its Chartered Accountancy (CA) examination schedule. Starting in 2025, the CA Final examination will be held three times a year, instead of twice. This decision, made during the 441st Council Meeting on March 27th, brings the CA Final exam schedule in line with the Intermediate and Foundation courses, which underwent a similar change last year.

The exams will now be conducted in January, May, and September, offering students greater flexibility and more opportunities to pass. This move, according to ICAI, aligns with international best practices and aims to improve exam access for aspiring chartered accountants.

In addition to the CA Final exam changes, the ICAI also announced that the Assessment Test for the Post Qualification Course in Information Systems Audit will now be held three times a year, in February, June, and October.

ICAI President CA. Charanjot Singh Nanda and Vice President CA. Prasanna Kumar D stated that these changes are part of broader initiatives to enhance professional education and examination accessibility. Further details regarding the new schedule and guidelines will be released by the ICAI shortly. The changes are expected to benefit students by streamlining the qualification process and providing additional opportunities to achieve their CA credentials.
