Thu Mar 27 14:50:07 UTC 2025: ## YSRCP Wins Roddam Mandal Praja Parishad Presidency in By-election

**Penukonda, Andhra Pradesh –** M. Nagamma of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has won the Roddam Mandal Praja Parishad (MPP) president’s by-election in the Penukonda Assembly constituency of Sri Sathya Sai district. Nagamma secured victory with the support of 14 out of 17 Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies (MPTCs) on Thursday.

Elections for two other MPP seats, Gandlapenta and Ramagiri, were postponed to Friday due to a lack of quorum. According to police, representatives from both the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and YSRCP requested the postponement. Meanwhile, elections for two vice-sarpanch posts in Penukonda and Madakasira Assembly constituencies proceeded peacefully. A police presence remains in Ramagiri following clashes between the TDP and YSRCP earlier this week.
