Thu Mar 27 09:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Chiyaan Vikram’s “Veera Dheera Sooran” US Premiere Cancelled Amidst Legal Dispute
**Chennai, India – March 27, 2025** – The highly anticipated release of South Indian actor Chiyaan Vikram’s film, “Veera Dheera Sooran,” has been significantly hampered by a legal battle, resulting in the cancellation of its US premiere and morning shows in India.
The film, which was slated for release today, March 27th, 2025, faced a last-minute setback due to a lawsuit filed by B4U against producer Riya Shibu. B4U alleges a breach of contract concerning the film’s over-the-top (OTT) rights, claiming Shibu sold these rights before the theatrical release.
Following an interim stay order from the Delhi High Court, morning screenings of “Veera Dheera Sooran” were cancelled across major multiplex chains, including PVR Inox. The court also reportedly ordered Shibu to deposit Rs 7 crore and submit relevant case documents within 48 hours. This legal action also led to the cancellation of the film’s planned US premieres.
The film’s theatrical release now hangs in the balance, further complicated by its clash with other big-budget releases, including Salman Khan’s “Sikandar” and the South Indian film “L2: Empuraan.” There is currently no official statement from the filmmakers regarding a rescheduled release date. Chiyaan Vikram was last seen in the period drama “Thangalaan.”
