**MODINAGAR, INDIA –** Police in Modinagar, India are searching for two men accused of kidnapping and raping a 17-year-old girl. The incident occurred Monday afternoon in the Niwari area.
According to police, one of the suspects, known to the victim, lured the girl to a water tank. He and an accomplice then forced her onto a motorcycle and took her to a nearby graveyard. One of the men allegedly raped the girl while the other stood watch. When the victim screamed, they reportedly gagged and beat her.
The girl subsequently reported the assault to her parents, who immediately took her to the Niwari Police Station to file a complaint. A medical examination has been conducted, and the victim’s statement has been recorded before a magistrate.
Police have identified the suspects as Israel and Ashraf and have filed charges against them, but both men remain at large. The investigation is ongoing.
