**Mumbai/Delhi, India** – This Eid will see a box office face-off between two highly anticipated films: Salman Khan’s *Sikandar* and Mohanlal’s *L2: Empuraan*. However, any potential rivalry has been swiftly defused by the stars and directors involved.
*Sikandar*, releasing on March 30th, stars Salman Khan alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Aggarwal and is directed by A.R. Murugadoss. The film is a Sajid Nadiadwala production, reuniting Salman with the producer after their 2014 hit *Kick*.
*L2: Empuraan*, a sequel to the blockbuster *Lucifer*, hits theaters on March 27th. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and starring Mohanlal, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, and Abhimanyu Singh, the film is generating considerable buzz.
In an interview with News18, Salman Khan expressed his admiration for Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran, stating he is confident *L2: Empuraan* will be “an excellent film.” He extended his best wishes not only to the *L2: Empuraan* team but also to the makers of *Jaat*, starring Sunny Deol, releasing in early April.
Echoing this sentiment, Prithviraj Sukumaran stated at a Delhi press conference that there is “no competition” between the two films. He praised Salman Khan as one of India’s biggest stars and expressed hope for both films’ success, suggesting audiences could enjoy both *L2: Empuraan* and *Sikandar* on the same day. The amicable exchange between the two camps ensures a festive atmosphere despite the simultaneous releases.
