**Bikaner, Rajasthan –** Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced a new package of agricultural benefits and subsidies on Wednesday, totaling ₹137 crore and benefiting 30,000 farmers. The initiative, launched at a farmers’ conference in Bikaner, includes increased payouts under the Prime Minister’s Kisan Samman Nidhi, expansion of the Mangala Pashu Bima Yojana (livestock insurance scheme), and new guidelines to promote organic farming and horticulture.

The Chief Minister highlighted the crucial role of farmers in India’s food security and agricultural success, praising their dedication and hard work. He also announced that the state government had already disbursed ₹1,400 crore to over 72 lakh farmers under the Kisan Samman Nidhi, ₹29,000 crore in short-term, interest-free crop loans to 47 lakh farmers, and ₹3,000 crore in insurance claims under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.

Mr. Sharma encouraged farmers to join Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) to improve their income through more efficient farming practices. He also criticized former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, accusing him of prioritizing social media over addressing the needs of the state’s citizens during the recently concluded budget session. The new measures aim to support small and marginal farmers and contribute to the state’s overall progress.
