Wed Mar 26 22:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Pelicans Soar Past Sixers, Snapping Losing Streak

**NEW ORLEANS —** The New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 112-99 Monday night, snapping their own two-game losing streak while extending Philadelphia’s to five games. Karlo Matkovic led the Pelicans with a season-high 19 points and 8 assists, while Antonio Reeves added 17 points, including five 3-pointers. Rookie Yves Missi contributed a strong 16 points and 9 rebounds. The Pelicans’ impressive long-range shooting (43% from three-point range) proved crucial to their victory.

The win came despite the continued absence of Zion Williamson (back injury) and CJ McCollum. The Sixers, also missing their star players Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey, struggled to contain New Orleans’ offensive surge. Justin Edwards and Jared Butler led the Sixers with 19 points each, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Pelicans’ strong second-half performance. Philadelphia’s hot start to the third quarter, fueled by their three-point shooting, was ultimately overshadowed by a 16-2 Pelicans run that sealed the win.

The Pelicans next face the Golden State Warriors on Friday, while the 76ers begin a three-game homestand against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday.
