**Kollam, Kerala – March 27, 2025** – A man was brutally murdered in his home in Karunagappally, Kollam district, Kerala, on Thursday morning, police reported. Santhosh from Thachayilmukku was the victim of the attack, which police believe stems from past enmity. Santhosh had a prior record, having been accused in an attempted murder case.
The assailants reportedly used explosives to gain entry to the house, where only Santhosh and his mother were present. They then hacked Santhosh, inflicting serious injuries including a broken leg. Following the murder, the suspects attacked a young man named Aneer in Vavvakavu, Oachira, causing serious injuries. Aneer is currently hospitalized at Alappuzha Medical College Hospital. Police suspect the two incidents are connected. Investigations are underway.
