**MALAPPURAM, March 26, 2025** – The Madin Academy in Malappuram is preparing to host one of the largest Ramzan prayer gatherings outside of Makkah and Madina on Thursday. Tens of thousands of Muslims are expected to converge at Swalat Nagar for the Lailathul Qadr, a night considered holier than 1,000 months.
Organizers anticipate approximately 100,000 attendees for a mass Iftar (breaking of the fast) at sunset, claiming it will be the largest Iftar gathering in India. The event will also feature a prayer conference inaugurated by Kanthapuram A.P. Aboobacker Musliar, with E. Sulaiman Musliar presiding. Syed Ibrahim Khaleel Bukhari will lead the prayers and administer a pledge against drug use. Guests from various Islamic countries are also expected to participate. Elaborate arrangements are in place to accommodate the large crowd.
