TIRUPATTUR, March 27, 2025 – The headmaster of a Panchayat Union Middle School in Chandrayanpalli village, Tirupattur district, has been transferred following an incident where a history-sheeter attended and participated in the school’s annual day function.
K. Chandrasekar, the headmaster, has been moved to a Government Middle School in Kattukolai village after an inquiry by the Tirupattur District Educational Officer (Elementary), R. Malaivasan. The inquiry found Chandrasekar guilty of allowing G. Sunita’s husband, K. Ganesh, a 42-year-old man with a history of robbery and theft charges in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, to participate in the March 22nd event.
Ganesh, who is out on conditional bail, sang songs and distributed prizes at the function. A video of the event went viral on social media, sparking public outrage. While Sunita, the village panchayat president, was a formally invited guest, Ganesh’s presence was unauthorized. The Department of School Education subsequently ordered Chandrasekar’s transfer.
