**Mysuru, March 27, 2025** – Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot addressed the 20th annual convocation of the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) in Mysuru today, urging graduates to become agents of positive change in society. He praised KSOU for its role in providing education to thousands annually, contributing to the vision of “Viksit Bharat-2047” (Developed India-2047).

The Governor emphasized the lifelong nature of education and the importance of sharing knowledge to benefit society. He highlighted the crucial role of youth in achieving “Atma Nirbhar Bharat” (Self-Reliant India), quoting Swami Vivekananda to inspire perseverance in the face of challenges. Gehlot lauded KSOU’s contribution over the past two decades, noting its success in educating lakhs of students and fostering lifelong learning opportunities. The ceremony also included the conferring of honorary doctorates on Dakshayini S. Appa and C.M. Irfanulla Shariff.
