**New Delhi, India** – A 27-year-old repeat offender known for his unusual escape method has finally been apprehended by Delhi Police. Deepak, wanted for numerous knife attacks and chain snatchings in North Delhi’s Sadar Bazar area, was caught on Monday after his signature tactic backfired.
Deepak had a history of evading arrest by deliberately defecating in his pants, forcing officers to recoil in disgust and giving him a chance to flee. Deputy Commissioner of Police Raja Banthia confirmed that Deepak had over half a dozen cases against him, all successfully avoided using this method.
However, this time, police were prepared. A patrolling team recognized Deepak and, anticipating his escape attempt, apprehended him while wearing masks and gloves. This prevented Deepak from utilizing his “smelly” escape plan. A knife, which Deepak referred to as his “lucky knife,” was recovered from his possession. A case has been registered under the Arms Act. Deepak’s arrest marks the end of a frustrating game of cat-and-mouse for Delhi Police.
