**Chandigarh, March 26, 2025** – The Punjab Assembly witnessed a surprising turn of events today as two Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs publicly criticized the state government’s performance in the health sector, embarrassing the ruling party.

MLA Devinderjeet Singh Laddi Dhose, representing Dharamkot, went so far as to compare the healthcare situation in his constituency to that of Pakistan, highlighting the lack of development in his area. His criticism stemmed from the Health Minister, Dr. Balbir Singh’s, announcement that there were no plans to upgrade the Dharamkot primary health center or establish a trauma center there. Dhose lamented the lack of health-related projects in his constituency over the past three years, accusing the state government of discriminatory treatment towards Moga district.

While Dhose later clarified his statement, emphasizing the need for more doctors and hospital upgrades, his initial remarks sparked controversy. He stated that the party leadership encouraged open criticism and that he was simply voicing the concerns of his constituents.

Adding to the government’s woes, AAP MLA Kulwant Singh Bazigar from Shutrana also voiced concerns, revealing a shortage of doctors in three of his constituency’s health facilities.
