**Guwahati, March 27, 2025** – The Assam government today released the results of Gunotsav 2025, a state-wide initiative aimed at improving the quality of education. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the results at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, with Education Minister Ranoj Pegu detailing the awards.
The results, available on the official website gunotsav2025.in, assess the performance of 38,98,945 students from 44,077 schools, evaluated by 17,585 external assessors. Based on the evaluation, schools received A+, A, B, C, or D grades.
As a reward for excellence, the government will distribute tablets to at least 4,320 students, while approximately 11,594 schools achieving an A+ grade will receive a cash prize of Rs 25,000 each.
The Gunotsav initiative aims to improve the quality of elementary and secondary education by evaluating schools on various parameters and identifying areas needing improvement.
