Vijayawada, March 27, 2025 – Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu reaffirmed the Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) commitment to the welfare of the Muslim community during an Iftar hosted by the state government on Thursday. Addressing attendees, Mr. Naidu highlighted the TDP’s record on protecting Waqf properties and implementing various schemes benefiting minorities, including the construction of the Haj House in Hyderabad. He criticized the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government for allegedly neglecting the planned Haj House in Amaravati. Mr. Naidu announced a ₹5,300 crore allocation for minorities in the 2025-26 budget and stated that the TDP government had revived the defunct Waqf Board. Several ministers and MLAs representing the Muslim community attended the event.
