Thu Mar 27 05:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Telangana Launches Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme, Facing Ration Card Hurdle
**Nalgonda, Telangana:** The Telangana state government launched the “Rajiv Yuva Vikasam” scheme to provide employment opportunities for unemployed youth. Applications for the scheme will be accepted from April 17th to April 5th. However, the mandatory requirement of a ration card (food security card) is causing concern among applicants who have lacked these documents for decades.
The scheme requires applicants to submit caste, income, and ration card certificates. The large number of applications being processed is causing delays. According to the Nalgonda District Civil Supplies Officer, Harish, over 165,000 applications have been received through the mobile ration MeeSeva app and MeeSeva centers. He stated that they are reviewing the applications and will submit a list of eligible candidates to the government for the disbursement of loans on Telangana’s formation day. The overlap of applications submitted through both online and offline channels is contributing to processing delays. The government aims to approve loans for eligible applicants shortly after the application period concludes.
