Wed Mar 26 22:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Threefold Significance Marks Ramadan’s Night of Power

**[City, State] –** The 27th night of Ramadan, observed this year on March 27th, holds exceptional significance for Muslims. This year, the night is uniquely marked by the convergence of three important events: Shab-e-Qadr (Night of Power), Shab-e-Jumma (Night of Friday), and the 27th night of Ramadan. It is believed that prayers and supplications offered on this night hold special merit.

Traditionally, in some areas like Bihar, multiple imams would gather to complete recitation of the entire Quran during this night. While this practice is not currently followed in all places, the belief in the spiritual power of this night remains strong. The last ten nights of Ramadan are considered particularly sacred, with the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, and 29th nights holding special importance. The 27th night, in particular, is said to be more rewarding than 1,000 months’ worth of worship, according to Hadith. Specific supplications are recommended, including asking for Allah’s forgiveness.

Syed Ata Faisal, manager of the Khanqah in Nawagadhi, explained the significance and suggested a prayer: “O Allah, You are the Forgiver and love forgiveness, so forgive me.” This year, Ramadan concludes on March 30th, with Eid al-Fitr celebrations beginning on March 31st after the sighting of the new moon.

Preparations are underway for the “Alvida Jumma” (farewell Friday) prayers on March 29th, the last Friday of Ramadan, with many mosques making arrangements for large crowds.
