Wed Mar 26 22:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Sirsi Mosques Witness Night-Long Prayers During Shab-e-Qadr
**Sirsi, [Date]:** Mosques in Sirsi buzzed with activity throughout the night of Shab-e-Qadr, a significant night during Ramadan. Following the Isha prayers, special prayers and 100 rakats (units of prayer) were performed. Religious leaders emphasized the night’s significance as a time of immense divine mercy, blessings, and forgiveness.
According to Maulana Meesam Abbas, Allah decrees sustenance and determines life and death on this night. Maulana Safi Asghar Nazmi highlighted the Quran’s revelation on Shab-e-Qadr, emphasizing the special reward for Quran recitation. Maulana Ehtisham Ali Naqvi, the chief imam of Shia Jama Masjid, added that Shab-e-Qadr is superior to a thousand nights, as mentioned in the Quran, and recited Surah Inna Anjalna holds great merit.
With the last ten days of Ramadan underway, religious leaders urged increased devotion, including fasting, Quran recitation, and Zakat (charity). They particularly encouraged helping the needy, the homeless, and orphans, as well as providing new clothes for the upcoming Eid festival to those in need within the community.
