**Hyderabad, March 25, 2025** – A woman working as a contract-based sex worker was rescued by Hyderabad police after being assaulted and locked in her flat following a financial dispute. The victim, a West Bengal native residing in Mumbai, had arrived in Hyderabad on March 18th through a broker named Pankaj. She had been staying in a Masab Tank flat for three days before the incident.
On March 21st, an argument over money escalated into a physical assault by two colleagues. The attackers subsequently locked the victim inside the flat and fled. The woman contacted the police, who rescued her and registered a case.
Pankaj, the main broker, was arrested on Tuesday. Police are currently searching for the two women who carried out the assault.
