Tue Mar 25 14:49:43 UTC 2025: ## Two Killed, Three Injured in Namakkal Road Accident

**Namakkal, March 25, 2025:** A head-on collision between two two-wheelers on the Namakkal-Mohanur Road claimed the lives of two individuals and left three others injured on Monday night.

According to police reports, N. Dhanya (25), her husband Naveen (29), and her mother Gokila (45) were traveling home to Rasikumaripalayam near Mohanur when their vehicle collided with another two-wheeler carrying Balakrishnan (19) and Ilavarasan (18) from Pudukkottai. All five sustained serious injuries and were rushed to hospitals in Namakkal.

Dhanya succumbed to her injuries at Salem Government Hospital after being referred from a private hospital in Namakkal. Balakrishnan died at the Namakkal Government Hospital. The remaining three injured are receiving treatment.

Mohanur police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the accident.
