**Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh –** A gas agency truck exploded in Bareilly district on Monday afternoon, causing a chain reaction that detonated over 300 LPG cylinders. While no injuries were reported, the incident sparked widespread panic and forced the evacuation of nearby villages.

The truck, belonging to Mahalaxmi Gas Agency, caught fire near Rajau Parsapur village for an as-yet undetermined reason. The ensuing explosions, heard up to three kilometers away, sent cylinder fragments scattering across nearby fields. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mukesh Chandra Mishra confirmed that over 345 LPG cylinders were on board at the time of the incident.

Firefighters and police responded quickly, bringing the blaze under control after approximately two and a half hours of intense firefighting efforts. Villagers reported witnessing a terrifying series of explosions, prompting them to flee the area for safety. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the initial fire.
