**SPOKANE, WA –** The Spokane Riverkeeper is inviting the community to celebrate Earth Day by participating in a river cleanup event on Saturday, April 19th, at 10 a.m. in High Bridge Park. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to help remove litter and debris from the Spokane Riverbanks.
Spokane Riverkeeper’s Waterkeeper, Jule Schultz, stated, “We are excited to celebrate Earth Day by giving back to our community and the environment.” The event aims to improve the river’s natural beauty and foster community engagement in environmental protection.
Cleanup supplies will be provided, but volunteers are advised to wear appropriate clothing for outdoor work. Following the cleanup, participants can enjoy coffee from PNW Espresso and learn about various local environmental organizations at informational booths.
