**Ahmedabad, March 24, 2025** – Punjab Kings (PBKS) head coach Ricky Ponting has declared Prabhsimran Singh one of the most talented players in the Indian Premier League (IPL), expressing high expectations for the youngster in the upcoming season. Ponting highlighted Singh’s exceptional talent, stating he believes the 24-year-old is as good as any player in the tournament. While Singh has been with PBKS for six seasons, showing flashes of brilliance, he is yet to have a truly breakout year. The team retained him ahead of the mega auction, a testament to their belief in his potential.

Ponting also praised South African all-rounder Marco Jansen, acquired for INR 7 crore at the mega auction, as an underrated player who is poised for a stellar season. He expects Jansen, an experienced international player, to continue improving his game.
